Talks lead to speculation of November 13 poll
The pace of political talks in the North has led to speculation that the British government is planning to hold Assembly elections on November 13.
The North’s pro-agreement parties and the Irish and British governments have been conducting intensive negotiations over the past few weeks in an effort to secure a new date for the cancelled election.
According to reports this morning, however, Irish Government sources have ruled out the possibility of a November 13 poll, saying there was still a lot of work to be done to achieve a breakthrough.
