The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland says it is considering queries raised by Radio Kilkenny over new conditions it wants to impose on the station.

The Broadcasting Commission of Ireland says it is considering queries raised by Radio Kilkenny over new conditions it wants to impose on the station.

The BCI has agreed in principle to extend Radio Kilkenny’s licence on a temporary basis, pending a Supreme Court challenge to its decision not to renew the licence after enlarging the franchise area to include Co Carlow.

Unless the matter is resolved, the station will be forced to cease broadcasting at the end of the month.
