British Prime Minister Tony Blair is preparing to meet Taoiseach Bertie Ahern today, amid frantic diplomatic efforts to restore Northern Ireland’s Assembly.

The two leaders were due to discuss efforts to revive the Stormont power-sharing executive at a summit in Chequers.
