Farmers to mount protest outside Dáil

The Irish Farmers Association is due to mount a protest outside the Dáil this afternoon to highlight its opposition to EU proposals on animal transport.

The protest is timed to coincide with a speech to the Oireachtas agriculture committee by EU Commissioner David Byrne.
