Govt 'should withhold benchmarking awards from teachers'

The ICT Ireland business lobby group has called on the Government to withhold benchmarking awards from teachers who refuse to co-operate with a new Junior Cert science syllabus.

The Association of Secondary Teachers has already refused to implement the syllabus because the majority of schools do not have the necessary laboratory equipment.
