Labour calls for publication of Omagh bomb report

The Labour Party has called for the publication of the findings of an investigation into allegations that the gardaí had information that could have prevented the 1998 Omagh bombing.

A report by the North's Police Ombudsman last year claimed that gardaí withheld information about a planned attack from their counterparts north of the border.

An investigation was subsequently launched in the Republic, but its findings were never made public.
