Bórd Pleanála approves controversial motorway

An Bórd Pleanála has approved planning permission for a controversial new motorway between the towns of Clonee and Kells in Co Meath.

Meath County Council approved the 47km stretch of motorway earlier this year, but local residents objected to the route.

The €600m road will by-pass the towns of Dunshaughlin and Navan and will be tolled in two separate locations.
