'Plane crash' search set to resume today
Rescue services are expected to resume a search today for a light aircraft reported to have crashed in Co Kerry.
Gardaí and a rescue helicopter spent last night scouring the Lispole area of the Stradbally mountains after two reported sightings of a small plane in difficulty.
Gardaí were contacted at around 6.45pm and called off the search a few hours later.
The Shannon coastguard helicopter flew over Lispole, near Dingle, and the nearby Connor Pass but did not find any signs of a crash.
Earlier a spokeswoman for the Irish Aviation Authority said no distress calls were received from any aircraft in the area.
