150,000 expected to attend Fleadh Ceoil

Around 150,000 people are expected to attend this year's Fleadh Ceoil festival in Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

The event, which has been described as the largest of its kind in Europe, begins today and ends on Sunday.

Gardaí have mounted a major security operation for the festival and the centre of Clonmel will be closed to traffic from 6pm today until the festival ends on Sunday night.
