Gardai investigate deaths of Co Roscommon couple

Gardaí in Co Roscommon are investigating the deaths of a husband and wife whose bodies were found in a house in Donamon yesterday evening.

The bodies of the couple, who were in their mid-50s, were found at around 7pm.

Reports this morning said the pair, who were named locally as Brian and Ann Flynn, were shot dead.

Gardaí are reportedly investigating the possibility that their deaths were a result of a murder/suicide.

The scene of the incident has been preserved pending technical examination and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
