Gardaí holding two men in connection with pub murder
Gardaí at Inchicore in Dublin are continuing to question two men in connection with the murder of Thomas Canavan which took place over the August bank holiday weekend.
Mr Canavan, who was a father of nine children, was shot dead at Cleary's Pub on Sarsfield Road in the city centre.
Gardaí are holding a 37-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday morning and a second man, in his twenties, who was arrested yesterday afternoon.
Both men being detained at Kevin Street garda station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act. They can be held for three days.
