DETECTIVES were last night confident of tracking down a cold-blooded killer who sat in a pub for at least 45 minutes looking at his victim prior to shooting him dead.

Gardaí at Inchicore in Dublin are continuing to question two men in connection with the murder of Thomas Canavan which took place over the August bank holiday weekend.
