Northern motorcyclists urged to slow down

Road safety officials in the North have warned motorcyclists to be extra vigilant after figures showed that the number of bikers killed in road accidents has almost tripled inside two years.

Sixteen motorcyclists have died in crashes in the North so far this year, compared with just six throughout 2001.
