Bord Pleanála approves Phoenix Park 'town'
An Bord Pleanála has approved planning permission for a controversial "new town" development in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
The development will see more than 2,300 homes, as well as shops, pubs and other facilities, being built on the old racecourse in the park.
The town will be constructed over the next 10 years by Flynn & Flaherty builders, who bought the 113-acre racecourse site in 1998 for €47m.
