Surfers discover woman's body in Tramore

The body of a woman has been discovered floating in water near Tramore in Co Waterford.

Gardaí have not yet identified the body, but described the woman as being in her forties with short sandy hair.

She was dressed in black trousers, a navy jacket and a coloured T-shirt.

The woman's body was discovered by two surfers at around 11am this morning.

Gardaí are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
