One child dead, one injured in Wexford crash

One child has been killed and another injured in a crash on the on the main Rosslare to Wexford road.

One child has been killed and another injured in a crash on the main Rosslare to Wexford road.

The children's parents are described as being in a stable condition.

The accident happened at about 10.30am when a lorry and a Peugeot 106 collided.

The passengers in the car, thought to be holiday-makers, had been travelling from Rosslare Strand when the collision occurred at Ashfield Cross on the N11.

The surviving passengers have been brought to Wexford General Hospital for treatment, while the driver of the lorry, which had been travelling towards Rosslare Harbour, is being treated for shock.
