Irish nurses call on minister to provide adequate funding

Beaumont Hospital in Dublin has cancelled all non-essential surgery today in an effort to ease overcrowding in the hospitals accident and emergency department.

There was a backlog of up to 60 people waiting for treatment in the A&E unit over the weekend.
