Tánaiste denies blaming consumer for rising prices

The Tánaiste Mary Harney has denied that she blamed consumers for rising prices in Ireland.

Last week, when asked about the rip-off being perpetrated by greedy retailers, Ms Harney said that consumers should complain more and shop around in an effort to force retailers to reduce their prices.
