PSNI names drowned Derry fisherman

Police in the North have named the fisherman who drowned near Derry last night as 54-year-old Patrick Mullan, from the Creggan Road in Derry.

Mr Mullan's body was recovered from the River Faughan last night by a family friend.

Rescuers had spent several hours looking for the body after receiving reports that a man had fallen from the riverbank. Police are not treating the death as suspicious.
