A teenager who drowned in a river in the North after fleeing police was “disaffected” with his life, a community worker claimed today.

Community leaders appealed today for a swift investigation into how a teenager apparently fleeing police drowned in a river in Northern Ireland.

Police in the North have named the fisherman who drowned near Derry last night as 54-year-old Patrick Mullan, from the Creggan Road in Derry.
