HSA: Three farm deaths last month

Three people died in farm accidents in Cork, Westmeath and Mayo last month, according to the Health and Safety Authority.

The deaths brought the total number of agriculture-related fatalities in the first six months of 2003 to 11.

This is a huge rise on the figure for the same period last year - just four people died in farm accidents in the same period in 2002.
