Housing scheme must be extended - Allen

The Government's plan to provide low-cost housing must be extended nationwide in order to have an impact on the housing crisis, Fine Gael's Bernard Allen said today.

“The scheme as reported today is confined to the east coast, applying only to Dublin, Meath and Kildare, yet the housing crisis extends far beyond Leinster," said Deputy Allen.

"The Government must disclose its plans for the rest of the country where there is an equally serious problem," he added.
