Auctioneers report 13.6% rise in Dublin house prices

House prices in Dublin have increased by 13.6% in the last 12 months, according to figures published today by Douglas Newman Good auctioneers.

The company said its house price gauge had recorded an increase of 2.1% in second hand property prices during the second quarter of this year, bringing the annual increase to the end of June to 13.6%.

This represents a significant slowdown in growth compared to the 19.2% annual increase recorded in the 12 months to the end of March.

DNG said the average house in Dublin was almost €332,000 at the end of June, an increase of more than €21,000 since the beginning of this year.
