The National Safety Council has reported a 10% fall in the number of road deaths in Ireland so far this year compared to the same period in 2002.

The National Safety Council has reported a 10% fall in the number of road deaths in Ireland so far this year compared to the same period in 2002.

The council said today that 168 people had died on Ireland's roads so far this month, compared to 186 between January 1 and June 27 2002.
