Catholic Church to draw up new code of conduct

The Catholic Church is to draw up a countrywide code of conduct for all clergy and church staff to ensure the protection of children.

Yesterday, the diocese of Ferns in Co Wexford launched its own code of conduct barring priests and church volunteers from ever being alone with children.
