Taoiseach considers Flood Tribunal future
The Taoiseach has told the Dáil that no decision has been made on the future of the Flood Tribunal.
Mr Ahern said there is potential to move parts of the Flood Tribunal to another forum, but only by agreement.
The Taoiseach also confirmed to opposition parties that the Government had responded to Justice Flood's request to step down as chairman.
He reiterated his wish for Justice Flood to deal with the issue of costs before retiring.
Mr Ahern also said the transfer of certain elements from the tribunal brief is a possibility.
