EU ministers discuss compromise on CAP reform

EU Agriculture Commissioner Franz Fischler has submitted compromise proposals to European ministers on his plans to reform the Common Agriculture Policy.

Mr Fischler was planning to break the link between subsidies and production, a move that was opposed by several EU member states, including Ireland.
