Taoiseach meets with Finnish and Estonian PMs

The Taoiseach has met with the Prime Ministers of Finland and Estonia during a whirlwind visit to both countries today.

The Taoiseach has met with the Prime Ministers of Finland and Estonia during a whirlwind visit to both countries today.

It is a part of Bertie Ahern's preparations for the Irish Presidency of the European Union in the first half of next year, during which Estonia - led by 36-year-old Juhan Parts - becomes a member.

While in Helsinki, the Taoiseach also took the opportunity to visit the Irish naval ship, the LE Eithne, which is currently touring the Baltic.
