DARTs to run on time from tomorrow

Dublin commuters can expect an orderly DART timetable to be operated from tomorrow, following a statement by unions confirming that drivers have agreed to work the new summer rosters.

Iarnród Eireann has agreed to deal with the drivers claims for compensation for disruption caused by ongoing work on the Dublin Port Tunnel and a fire at Fairview depot two years ago.

A formula for resolving the Fairview issue is to be put to the drivers, while the claim over the port tunnel is to be referred to the Labour Relations Commission.
