Sinn Féin urge pressure to announce election date
Sinn Féin is calling on the Government to apply as much political pressure on the British government as possible to announce a date for the Northern assembly elections.
Speaking at the Robert Emmet commemoration in Tipperary today, the party's chairperson Mitchell McLaughlin called for a concerted campaign by the political parties here, demanding that they go ahead.
He believes it is up to the Government as a co-signatory of the Good Friday agreement, to take control of the matter.
