Breakthrough possible in doctors' strike
There is optimism this evening that there may be some progress in talks aimed at ending the public health doctors strike this evening.
The discussions at the Labour Relations Commission involve the Health Service Employers Agency and the Irish Medical Organisation.
One major sticking point reported at talks in recent days is the doctors' demand for pay parity with consultants.
But the IMO says a number of issues are still outstanding.
Talks resumed around 5pm this evening.
