The ESRI is recomending that employers be made to pay for at least some of the training given to workers by organisations like FAS.

In a new report, the institute says corporation tax has been cut and training is now being paid, largely through indirect taxation on the general population.

The ESRI says corporation tax should either be increased, or a special levy on companies introduced.
