A new row erupted last night over Police Ombudsman Nuala O’Loan’s survey into alleged harassment of lawyers by officers in Northern Ireland.

Professor Desmond Rea, chairman of the Policing Board in Belfast, has written to Mrs O’Loan to warn her against issuing unfair reports, amid claims she failed to balance out complaints by the legal profession.
