Gardaí launch murder inquiry

Gardaí in Dublin have launched a murder investigation after the body of a man was found in the city yesterday.

The man, who is thought to be in his fifties, was discovered with head injuries at a flat in Ballymun.

A post mortem has been carried out by Deputy State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy.

Gardaí are now appealing for anyone with information to contact the incident room at Ballymun garda station..
