Minister to launch domestic violence agency

A new agency to tackle domestic violence will be launched later this morning by the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell.

A new agency to tackle domestic violence will be launched later this morning by the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell.

The National Domestic Violence Intervention Agency will be linked to the criminal justice system in a bid to ensure that perpetrators of domestic violence are held accountable.

It's the first time that such an agency has focused on the victim and the abuser.
