President McAleese leaving for US today

The President is flying out of Ireland today for a five-day visit to the US.

President Mary McAleese will be meeting with the Mayor of Chicago and local Irish business groups.

She will also attend a conference in the University of Virginia later in the week where she will be the guest of honour, before returning to Dublin on Friday evening.
