Motorcyclist dies just as garda operation begins
A 28-year-old man has been killed in a road accident in Dublin.
The accident occurred just before gardai began operation Taisteal last night at midnight.
The new move by officers is intended to cut out speeders and drink drivers to try and save lives over the bank holiday weekend.
The accident in Dublin happened when a motorcyclist collided with a car in the Crumlin area shortly after 7pm last night.
The motorcyclist was then taken to St. James's hospital where he later died.
