The Democratic Unionist Party has predictably dismissed a Sinn Fein promise that the IRA would end all activities which undermined the peace process or the Good Friday Agreement.

The Democratic Unionist Party has predictably dismissed a Sinn Fein promise that the IRA would end all activities which undermined the peace process or the Good Friday Agreement.

The statement appeared to meet British demands for an end to paramilitary activity by the IRA, but the DUP's Nigel Dodds said it was nothing but a cynical election stunt.
