Food sector must boost efforts to attract graduates

A group established to examine Ireland's future skills needs has said the food sector should improve training and boost its efforts to attract graduates into the sector.

A group established to examine Ireland's future skills needs has said the food sector should improve training and boost its efforts to attract graduates into the sector.

Danny O'Hare, the chairman of the government-appointed body, said: "Focus on training is more driven by food safety and food hygiene regulation and less with developing skills such as strategic planning, new product development and so on."
