Ireland is facing a growing shortage of key medicines according to delegates of the Irish Pharmaceutical Union who are meeting this morning.

The union's AGM, which is taking place in Portlaoise this weekend, is being warned that the short supply of commonly-prescribed medicines could cause complications for people who urgently need medication.
