Minister defends records on primary schools

The Minister for Education has defended his record on primary schools following criticism that many national schools are dilapidated and run down.

Minister Noel Dempsey said this evening that he has provided 3,000 extra primary teachers and 5,000 special needs assistants during his time at the helm.
