Public health doctors on strike

The country's 270 public health doctors are beginning an all out strike this morning.

The doctors voted unanimously in a ballot to take industrial action in a dispute over pay and conditions.

The Department of Health has condemned the decision saying the move was inappropriate during the risk associated with the SARS virus.
