Private property rights: Constitution change possible

Articles of the Constitution dealing with private property are to be examined by an Oireachtas Committee in order to decide whether or not reform is needed.

The Taoiseach has recently indicated that he is in favour of changing the law in order to bring down the cost of road-building.
