On-run terror suspects 'could go free back to North'
Hundreds of terrorist suspects could avoid imprisonment under the Irish and British Governments’ plan to allow on-the-run paramilitaries to return to Northern Ireland without being imprisoned, it emerged tonight.
Democratic Unionist MP Nigel Dodds criticised the proposal, which will be unveiled tomorrow by Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and British Prime Minister Tony Blair, claiming it would cause “enormous hurt” to the families of those killed by the IRA.
