Ahern says oil will be used to benefit Iraqi people

The Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, has told the Dail that US President George W Bush assured him that all revenues from the sale of Iraqi oil will be used to the benefit of the Iraqi people.

Mr Ahern said: "(Mr Bush) says the revenues form the oil and the reconstruction of that will be for the Iraqi people.
