The Liquor Licensing Commission has issued 130 recommendations on how to reform the alcohol trade in Ireland to crack down on under-age and binge-drinking.

The Liquor Licensing Commission has issued 130 recommendations on how to reform the alcohol trade in Ireland to crack down on under-age and binge-drinking.

Among the recommendations are a return to closing at 11.30pm on Thursday nights and the introduction of licences for smaller, owner-occupied pubs to move away from the trend of so-called "super pubs", which are blamed for encouraging binge-drinking.
