Suspected SARS case found in Laois

There has been a suspected case of SARS, Severe Acute Respiratory System, in County Laois.

This is the second suspected case of the illness in Ireland. Already, a middle-aged man was treated in an isolation unit in Castlebar General hospital.

The latest victim has just returned from Hong Kong and has been admitted to Portlaoise hospital.

The 48-year-old man is being treated in isolation at the hospital.

The illness has killed 11 people so far, worldwide.
