Govt to face fury over Shannon decision

The Government is expected to face the anger of the Opposition later today following its decision to continue supplying facilities at Shannon Airport to the US military during the war against Iraq.

The Cabinet announced the decision last night, saying the provision of overflight, landing and refuelling facilities do not equal participation in the war.
