Two men were today stabbed and injured, one critically, during a fight outside a pub in Northern Ireland.

Two men were today stabbed and injured, one critically, during a fight outside a pub in Northern Ireland.

One of the victims was knifed several times in the chest and arm during the confrontation at West Street in Portadown, Co Armagh at about 1.30am.

He was taken for emergency treatment in hospital.

The second victim was stabbed in the neck, but police said his injuries were not thought to be life threatening.

A man has been arrested and taken for questioning about the attack.
