Planning body approves Co Meath incinerator
An Bórd Pleanála has approved the construction of a controversial waste incinerator near Duleek in Co Meath.
The planning appeals body ruled today that Belgian company Indaver Ireland can go ahead with the €80m project, subject to 31 conditions.
Meath County Council had already approved the plan despite widespread objection from local residents and councillors.
Indaver is also planning to construct another controversial incinerator in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.
